Styled Essentials
Affiliate Disclosure

Our Commitment to Transparency
At Styled Essentials (www.styled-essentials.com), honesty is one of our core values. This page explains how we make money and how that does — and does not — influence our content.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a way for content creators like us to earn a small commission by recommending products and services we genuinely believe in. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer — at absolutely no extra cost to you.
Think of it like a referral fee: the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale for sending a customer their way. The price you pay is always the same as if you had gone directly to the retailer’s website.
Which Affiliate Programmes Do We Use?
Styled Essentials currently participates in the following affiliate programmes:
AWIN Affiliate Network
We are a publisher on the AWIN affiliate network, which connects us with fashion and lifestyle brands. This includes, but is not limited to, brands such as ASOS, H&M, Marks & Spencer, Next, and others. A full list of current brand partners is not always possible to maintain, as this changes regularly.
Amazon Associates
We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk and/or Amazon.com.
Other Brand Partnerships
From time to time we may work directly with individual brands outside of a network. Any such partnerships will always be clearly disclosed within the relevant content.
How to Spot an Affiliate Link
We aim to make affiliate links as clear as possible. You may see disclosures such as:
- “This post contains affiliate links”
- “(affiliate link)” next to a specific product
- “AD” or “*” next to a link, with an explanation at the top or bottom of the post
As a general rule: if we link to a product for sale anywhere on our site, assume it may be an affiliate link unless otherwise stated.
Does This Affect Our Recommendations?
No. Our editorial independence is non-negotiable.
We only recommend products and brands that we genuinely believe would be useful or relevant to our readers. We will never promote something purely because it pays a higher commission, and we will always give our honest opinion — including pointing out drawbacks when relevant.
The commission we earn helps us keep Styled Essentials free for our readers and allows us to continue creating content. We are grateful for your support when you shop through our links.
Sponsored Content
Occasionally we may publish sponsored posts — content that a brand has paid for or contributed to. Any sponsored content will always be clearly labelled as ‘Sponsored’, ‘Paid Partnership’, or ‘In collaboration with [Brand]’ at the top of the post. Sponsored posts are subject to the same editorial standards as all our other content.
Legal Compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with:
- The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) guidelines
- The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on endorsements and reviews
- The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials
- The EU Directive on Unfair Commercial Practices
